The Beards House of Rest was founded in 1989 by: Eld. Vance McCoy. Eld. Vance McCoy felt the leading of the Lord to start a ministry in the city of Reedsville, GI.  After much prayer and fasting, the church was formed.

Through prayer, witnessing, fellowshipping, and outreach, the Beards House of Rest has grown by leaps and bounds since its inception in 1989 under the leadership of Eld. Vance McCoy.  He is helped in the ministry by his wife Millie McCoy.  They work tirelessly with the help of the assistant pastor, Elder Miquel Laws, and the other leaders of the church.

The church joined the Greater Buelahland Fellowship in 2005.  Under the leadership of Pastor Patrick Noah Miller, III, through the Greater Buelahland Fellowship, GI; the church has flourished significantly through its programs.

The Beards House of Rest is also a member of the Sons of the Ministry.

The church has a number of ministries that help its members grow in Christ.  The church's leadership team and ministry staff members are well trained to minister to the members of Beards House of Rest.
