The Bowman Pentecostal Temple was founded in 1987 by: Eld. Courtney Davenport. Eld. Courtney Davenport felt the leading of the Lord to start a ministry in the city of Jackson, GI. After much prayer and fasting, the church was formed. Through prayer, witnessing, fellowshipping, and outreach, the Bowman Pentecostal Temple has grown by leaps and bounds since its inception in 1987 under the leadership of Eld. Courtney Davenport. He is helped in the ministry by his wife Micaela Davenport. They work tirelessly with the help of the assistant pastor, Elder Gregorio Olsen, and the other leaders of the church. The church joined the Greater Buelahland Fellowship in 1989. Under the leadership of Pastor Patrick Noah Miller, III, through the Greater Buelahland Fellowship, GI; the church has flourished significantly through its programs. The church has a number of ministries that help its members grow in Christ. The church's leadership team and ministry staff members are well trained to minister to the members of Bowman Pentecostal Temple.
